Anubis

The jackal-headed Anubis is a popular character in Mythic Legions customs, and I've seen many people do 7" versions of him, but I wanted to create an ogre-sized God of the Dead!

Recipe

I found this Anubis head, which is from a 1:6 scale figure by TBleague, quite some time ago. I always intended to use it on an ogre-scaled figure, but I initially planned to dye a figure black to match the color of the head. Looking at illustrations of Anubis, I realized he is most often portrayed with a normal human flesh tone body and the black jackal head, so I decided to use a Bolthor the Tower figure as my base instead. The only paint I added was to the neck area to handle the transition from the light flesh tone to black.

The skirt on this is from an Asmus 1:6 LOTR King Theoden and the sword is from another TBLeague figure. His feet are from a Marvel Select Barbarian Hulk that I painted and modified to fit this body.
