Most of the time when I design my Mythic Legions customs, I create a single new figure/character. Recently, I decided to embark on a bigger project and create a little mini-wave of characters that I am calling my "Woodland Bandits". These are obviously inspired by Robin Hood and his Merry Men, but reimagined so they fit within the world of Mythoss. This figure is my version of Robin. As a human archer, he is the most straightforward of the characters in the wave.
The final picture below shows a group of these characters. Be sure to also see the individual pages for my versions of Friar Tuck, Little John, Will Scarlet, Azeem, and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
You can read this character's story (which is really just my mashup of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Mythoss) on my Instrgram page.
This tribute to Robin Hood uses a variety of parts. His head is from a Masters of the Universe Bow figure. It was dremeled so it fits on a ML neck post. The torso is from a Mythic Legions Baron Volligar. It has been repainted along with the waist piece which is from a MOTU Eldor figure. His arms are from a WWE Sheamus Create a Superstar. They plug directly into the ML torso perfectly and retain all articulation. The cape is also from that same WWE figure. The legs are from a MOTU Dekker. They are a bit more muscular than I would like, but I wanted Robin to not have armored legs, and since all the ML legs are armored or totally bare, this seemed to be the best option for me. The pegs on the legs were shaved down so they would pop into the ML waist piece.
For my archer's weapons, I got the bow, quiver, and arrows from some old ToyBiz Lord of the Rings figures. The bow is from Fararmir, the arrows from a Legolas, and the quiver from a Prologue Elf Archer. The thick belt around his torso is from a Dragonage Duncan figure while the sword and belt at his waist as standard Mythic Legions accesories.
