I am always looking for new heads and parts for my custom recipes, and I have had my eyes on the Silver Max dwarf from the old Shadowrun toy line for some time now. I finally picked one up and I am so happy I did. The head itself is really nicely detailed, and I was able to use a bunch of his parts to make some new figures, including my miner.

Recipe

The body on this is a mashup of pieces. His torso and elbow are from a Knight Kit with upper arms from Silverhorn Sentry with Silver Dwarf hands. Amazingly, those parts all worked nicely together! His legs and head are from the Shadowrun Silver Max. For the head, I used a screw and magnet to get them to stay in place and retain movement (see pic). I did something similar to attach the waist and hips, but since those parts really did not match up in size, I had to also use a faulds piece from a Cavern Dwarf to tie it all together. I also used the chest pouches from Silver Max, which slid nicely over the torso armor, to really change the look of this design. All armor was repainted with some wear and weathering.

For accessories, the hammer is from Max, the pick-axe is repainted and from an Incredibles playset, and his lantern is from a Harry Potter Harris figure.
