Rapunzel is another entry in my series of customs inspired by fairy tales and folklore and stories which have been popularized by Disney.
For this character, I wanted to create a cleric-like healer, and obviously she needed to have a massive head of hair!
You can also read this character's story on my Instragram page.
Rapunzel's head was actually the part that took me the longest to find for this. I decided to use the hair from a MOTU Entrapta figure early on, but I didn’t care for that figure’s face, so I removed one of her ponytails and continued searching for a good head to use, eventually settling on an Elsa Bloodstone from Marvel Legends. That figure also has a ponytail, so it was a perfect choice, allowing me to remove one ponytail and replace it with this super long one. I painted the hair and ponytail to match, dremmeled the head, and I had my Rapunzel!
The body on this is a mashup of parts from Azza Spiritbender and Gwendolyn Heavensbrand. I wanted to use gold and purples for this character so it was similar to the design choices of the Disney version, but without being too over the top. Her shield is from a Mezco Wonder Woman and he mace weapon is from a Spawn Tiffany figure.
