The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Giant

Jaklos Tundraskul

Sometimes I get an idea for a custom and I execute on it as soon as I have the parts in hand. For example, the “Drowned Ogre” I posted earlier this month using an Argemedes body with a “Cthulhu-like” head from MAFC was something I assembled the day after I got that figure in my hands! Other custom ideas take awhile for me to get around to. This custom Frost Giant is an example of the later.

I have had this 18” tall Kratos in my collection for about a year. I found it at a great price and thought it would make a passable Mythic Legions giant! Of course, I knew I had to tweak it a bit so it wasn’t so obviously Kratos! I don’t play any video games, but even I know who Kratos is. I think the small changes I made, including his “skull mask” really do help make this a new character!

That skull mask is from a cheap Halloween decoration. I sliced it accordingly, cut out the eyes and nose, and sanded those openings down to create the mask you see here. For the rest of the figure, I painted his “red warpaint” blueish and then actually covered most of it up with the soft goods piece I added as a sash/cape. I also added some paint to the entire figure to create his snowy look.

Check out the final pic here to see my Frost Giant next to my custom Frost Dwarf. You can really get a sense of scale and see just how HUGE this guy is compared to the normal sized Mythic figures!
