The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Assassin

Gryshaa the Shadow

Some of my favorite customs are ones that include smart uses of different parts. I also like to update existing Mythic Legions characters in a way that makes them new! This custom does both! This is Gryshaa the Shadow.

You can read this character's story on my Instagram page.

This custom was actually a pretty easy one to create. It really was all about using the right pieces! I obviously started with a Gryshaa the Slytherer head. The only paints on this entire custom are on that head! I painted the reddish parts black and then added some copper highlights to the details of that helmet, using the same color that the rest of the figure’s armor highlights has. The body on this is a combination of parts from a Shadow Elf Ranger and a Shadow Elf Warrior. Those two figures have bodies with inverted colors, so I combined them to use all black-colored parts. This meant a torso and faulds from the Ranger and the arms and legs from the Warrior.

The “skirt” piece here is from a LOTR Denethor while the scarf piece is from a Black Series Kylo Ren. His “sleeve” armor are actually pieces from an old McFarlane Toys Jjakku the Nightmare figure. I had used the heads from that toy on some other customs, but I had these pieces left over. I love finding a use for random parts like this, and those armor sleeves really do help add to the “Arabian Nights” feel of this character!

I finished this up with a few Mythic Legions daggers with sheaths and a sword and scabbard from a TBLeague 1:12 scale figure. These are all small changes, but they add up to help create what I think is a really cool new look for this character!
